This will take some time... I will return to this thread at a later date

certainly agree with 1991-1997 and a couple earlier ones...

Sleepy Jackson though, surely 2003 cant be that slim pickings

Sweet Jane 01-02-2005 07:33 PM

2003 possibly The Mars Volta - De-Loused In The Comatorium, The Sleepy Jackson couldn't even keep their band together for more than a couple months never mind write best album of the year

Urban Hat€monger ? 01-02-2005 07:35 PM

The Sleepy Jackson album was great , I seem to remember a few magazines voting it best album of 2003 too

Sweet Jane 01-02-2005 08:23 PM

Yeah I seem to remember music magazines tossing off to The Darkness in 2003 as well

Tough competition

I would like to call it quits at 1963 also. When I tried to go further back, all I could think of was:

1962 Elvis Presley Blue Hawaii
1961 Elvis Presley - G.I. Blues
1960 The Everly Brothers - It's Everly Time

And I don't even like Elvis. Don't seem to have any albums from the 50s at all, only compilations. One last thing, wasnt Doolittle 1989? I can't find the album to check but checked it on the net and it said it was too.
