How about I do a new one.
Is it possible for me to create a new one but merge the two threads keeping my version of the poll?

Just out of curiosity have you listened to any of the other bands?

I voted for J&MC a while back but if i was to vote now i'd vote for Belle and Sebastian, i just love them that bit more now.

I don't really have an out-and-out favourite these days. There's no band I necessarily feel are better than all the others. Teenage Fanclub at their best are maybe my favourite, same applies for Belle & Sebastian, the Cocteau Twins, the Vaselines, Orange Juice and Mogwai.

There's a wonderful indie rock band from Glasgow, active through the 90s, called Urusei Yatsura - sound kinda like early Pavement/Sonic Youth, and they have some totally amazin' songs. They're one of the best recent discoveries

I voted Boards of Canada, but yeah, I'll echo the Frightened Rabbit love. They released an all-time great breakup album right when I was going through my own first big breakup, so they'll always have a special place in the ****les of my heart. Wasn't crazy about their last record, tho

It was a joke and a reference to Mogwais "Blur is ****e" stuff but clearly you didn't get it.
But still it's Mogwai for me.

I know it won't be popular, but I've gone for Travis - saw them at Glastonbury in 2000 with very low expectations, and was really impressed.

Far better live than you'd ever expect.

Puts them just above Belle and Sebastian and Primal Scream, for me.
