Meh, there's probably only around 5 pop punk bands that still get heavy rotation from me. Lagwagon will always be number 1. :D

I'm backing you up on that.
Lagwagon and Propagandhi. Maybe a little No Use For A Name.

I've listened to one Propagandhi album, "Supporting Caste". I like that album a lot but I never really think of it as pop punk. It's got a lot of heavy metal stuff going on. Is their older stuff more in that area?

Well not really, I just consider it more pop-punk than straight up punk when compared to the old stuff.
I personally think their best album is How To Clean Everything (their first full release). Less Talk, More Rock came after that and was pretty damn good, then Today's Empire Tomorrow's Ashes was a pretty big change into what you're familiar with on Supporting Caste. Mainly the guitars are a lot more layered and complex after Today's Empire. Didn't really care for Potemkin City Limits that much but there are some good songs on it.

Ultimately, I think you should get How To Clean Everything then work your way down.

Right on. I get what you mean about the melody. Supporting Caste is pretty catchy throughout actually.

I wish Hannah's voice hadn't changed so much in the years they've been playing. You'll notice on the first 2 albums when they were much younger how much better Hannah's vocals fit with the music. And when they record, the vocals are mixed a little too high in the music for my tastes, but I don't think you can expect less from a group of anarchist activists who want their message heard. lol.

Hehe. Sure if i had been forced to take a side then it would have been Oasis but it was never a debate. I liked both bands.

Attention: I would just like to say Urban Hatemonger played a vital part in convincing me to listen to Primal Scream, but Mojopinuk gave me the final push.

Many thanks.

(Happy now eh? :D)

Nice, another band we have in common now, though I still think our LastFM compatibility is still quite low.

CanwllCorfe 05-25-2010 12:04 AM

I think my compatibility is "very low" with damn near everyone I've tried it with :(
