ipod? IPOD??? If you want to get MAXIMUM enjoyment/embarrassment out of your collection, you need to select ALL of your HARD DISK, like me (fool that I am!) and use a prog like "Shuffle music player" to randomise. As i am doing here. So, my (shudder!) list first, then I'll comment on what has gone before me.

(Anyone got a loan of a pair of boots I can quake in?) Hit the button and....

Nightwish --- Wish I had an angel
Aslan --- Where's the sun
Ten --- We rule the night (acoustic)
James Blunt --- I'll take everything
Enchant --- Enchanted
Billy Joel --- All for Leyna
Gandalf --- Self-realization
Eagles --- My man
Meat Loaf --- Everything louder than everything else
Don Henley --- Not enough love in the world

Hey! Not as embarrassing as it could have been! All pretty mainstream yes (I don't tend to go for bands I don't know, all these weird indie bands like Lamposts at Dawn or Micky the Fish, or whatever) but nothing there that I'm cringing at --- and there could have been some doozies!

However, feel free to mock me, next person up!
Speaking of which...

I know few of those artistes, but come on! Anyone with Spinal Tap on their player deserves credit! I also like Joe Walsh (duh! Don Henley? The Eagles? Would never have guessed!) and the odd Duran Duran. I know OF the White Stripes, but other than that, sort of clueless about the rest really.

Trollheart, have a little confidence in your taste, it's not that bad. Meatloaf always gives me happy feelings.

Art Ensemble of Chicago - A Jackson in Your House
Swell Maps - Another Song
Evan Parker - Naan Tso (Extract)
Jamie Saft - Tuf Luv Dub
The Shaggs - It's Halloween
Fifty Foot Hose - Fly Free
Thrangh - Thr2
Les Rallizes Denudes - Fucked Up and Naked

Suicide - Girl
Pharoah Sanders - You've Got to Have Freedom

Uhm, can I bold a whole list? This one is great.

Hey Bob!
Are you cheating, or can anyone submit more than one list? If the latter, stand by for another one from me!

i don't think i'm cheating.....i plug in my ipod, usually i find a 10 second song which i do not count, hit random, listen to all ten tracks, list them, and choose my favorite, usually i do it once a day unless i'm the last person then i wait for someone to comment on my bullshit first
