Can't say I enjoy her too much, but I do respect her: 1st female country artist have a million-selling single (impressive - especially in the 1930's).

(no relation to that other Montana "singer" by the way).

Not a huge fan of most of those artists but do enjoy some of them occasionally, nice mix anyway.

03. The Vines, 'Ride'
04. Regina Spektor, 'Hotel Song'
05. Iron and Wine, 'Promise What You Will'
06. Patrick Wolf, 'London'

yeah. I used to say I hated country music. But then i realized that I only hated today's country music (and by that i mean all that pop-country crap). It's so far from true country it's sad.

But yeah, Patsy's alright. "Cowboy's sweetheart" is her only real claim to fame. I'd recommend Johnny Cash or Townes Van Zandt or Kris Kristofferson if you wanna hear some real country.

Bjork's awesome, and I like me some Vines too. Get Up Stand Up's one of my favourite, anthemic reggae standards (that might be an oxymoron though), and Cog are alright. Can't really call myself a fan of the rest though.

Herbie Hancock - Sly
Johnny Thunders - Subway Train
Archive - Headlights
Radio Birdman - Murder City Nights
Midnight Oil - The Great Gibber Plain
Gorrilaz - Demon Days
New Order - Times Change
Marcel Khalife - Jawz Safar
The Saints - Demolition Girl
The Selecter - The Whisper

Radio Birdman anyday - one of the best, short and sweet punk songs you'll ever hear that.

^Hey Silversun pickups in mine too. I think I'd go for Dinosaur Jr. in yours though...

Here's mine:

Aria C Jalali! - King Polixenes
Band Of Horses - Great Salt Lake
Nada Surf - Whose Authority
The Stone Roses – Fools Gold
Arcade Fire - Crown of Love
Silversun Pickups - Rusted Wheel
Ratatat - Swisha
Emir Kusturica & the No Smoking Orchestra - Drang Nach Osten
The Living End - No Way Out
The Robot Ate Me - The Genocide Ball

I Guess The Stone Roses would be my favorite.

wow, lot's of classics there. Best on the list: Something stupid (then probably Springsteen second...I'm from Jersey).

And OctaneHugo, check out Townes Van Zandt. He's great. He's kinda got a Cash feel, but with a little more emotional, almost "romantic" overtone.
