Turning your back to a band you once liked

Can you track the moment you turned on a band you once loved/liked to a single moment? What band was it and what event pushed you over the edge?

What do you mean?

A time we stopped liking that band?

Right. Was their an event, or a catalyst that caused you to no longer like that band.

I remember turning on Queen, tho I liked Queen so much I had painted Freddie Mercury's silhouette on my wall. Then I remember how disappointed I was when I decided to trade the Best of Queen compilation, with their studio albums. Each album was lacking so much. A whole album would only contain one tolerable track and nothing more. They had jammed 15 full albums into 2 good compilation CDs that sold more than Sgt. Pepper's. That seemed too easy.

A couple of years back, I used to listen to Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, a lot.

When I went to see them live, I realized how stuck up the singer was, and it kind of ruined the image for me. I have more examples, this image was destroyed the most, though. When a band is traveling in trailers, taking showers through hoses, wearing the same clothes over and over, and doing the same damned thing as everyone else they're on tour with, they shouldn't be so fucking self absorbed.

Thank you. =P

In middle school, Korn was just becoming popular. Their first album was dark and all the rage with the skater crowd, of which I hung out with. But once they released Got the life as a single and I saw the video on MTV, I was done. It's on a level of crapiness usually reserved for boy bands...so perhaps the video fit the band better than I originally thought.

"...dreams of californication....."

times about a million times within 6 months = going from the guy who wore a sock as a halloween costume to pretending like i didn't own any of their older material.

Coldplay for me.
The only reason I liked them was because I had never heard a better band before.
Later on, I heard Zeppelin, Queen, U2, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, etc and realized how horrible Coldplay was. I deleted all my coldplay albums then.
I mean, even shi* tastes good until you've had good food.
