Freddie Mercury
Adam Lambert
Here he is performing with Queen, he's the one with the black hair

Chills...

jtwilliams 11-15-2009 04:20 PM

Now he's ruining Queen's reputation too...

sheesh

iLove 11-15-2009 07:29 PM

Lol...get over yourself. If you can't admit he's got talent...then I think you're holding something against him.FYI Queen has asked him to collaborate in the future.

Rickenbacker 11-15-2009 08:30 PM

No, Brian and Roger ruined Queen's reputation years ago when they first played with that idiot Paul Rodgers.

Having talent doesn't make him any less of a tool bag. Most pop singers have "talent" and can sing but that doesn't mean they're enjoyable to listen to or bring anything new to the table.

Just came to the realization that David Lee Roth is a pretty awesome singer

Michael English(Gospel) or maybe Guy Penrod
Howard Jones(Metal)

I forgot another favourite (Someone reminded me.)

inmyonme 12-03-2009 02:01 PM

For me, Laura Marling.

cornandbeans 12-03-2009 06:14 PM

Win Butler of Arcade fire is excellent at what he does. Nick Drake will always be a favorite, too.

Notveryskilled 12-05-2009 10:06 AM

Tom Waits is amazing, but when it comes to style I'd have to say my favorite is either Maynard of Tool or Vedder of Pearl Jam. I don't exactly know why I like either of those too as singers. They aren't very special but there's something very soothing when I hear them sing.

ktkicksit 12-14-2009 10:34 AM

Jeff Buckley. Hands down.

Not the best swimmer though...too soon?

storymilo 12-14-2009 05:29 PM

David Gray! I've just been listening to his music lately. It brings back memories.

I don't listen to lyrical music too much so it's hard to say really.

Not a lot of love for many female vocalists eh?

I think there are some amazing ladies out there who I personally consider to have brilliant voices. Imogen Heap, Tori Amos, Annie Lennox...

GuitarBizarre 12-14-2009 07:26 PM

Male - Nobody could touch Robert Plant in his prime. NOBODY. Honorable mentions go to Jeff Buckleys ridiculous range, and Russell Allen for being absolutely pitch perfect all the time and having an awesome voice that can be smooth or rough. Definitely an improvement over Symphony X's original vocalist in a big way.

Female - As much as I love Bjork, I have to admit there are a couple other vocalists I love just that little bit more. In particular, my all time favourite female vocalist is Ella Fitzgerald. NOBODY comes within a million miles of Ella for me.

Trance music almost ALWAYS has female vocals so I definitely agree with you on that. Zoe Johnston, Justine Suissa, Tiff Lacey, etc.
