Your worst band of the decade?
 

My vote goes to The Twang. Can't believe the NME ever predicted them for greatness.

That's a pretty comprehesive list... a number of one-or-two hit wonders that people outside the UK won't know though.

Arcade Fire and Snow Patrol (who possibly started in the 90's) are two that were at the forefront of a wave of banal indie that springs to mind.

Southern hip-hop has made this decade particularly hellish also, take your pick really

No idea how you even consider comparing Arcade fire to Snow patrol. They have absolutely nothing in common...:/

they aren't musically similar but they both represent the same pounding monotone of mediocrity to me... I am not moved

Hard to really pick the worst band when I try not to pay attention to things I don't like.

Arcade Fire are particularly grating, but there is far worst. As mentioned, Southern hip-hop is a good place to start.

Well you'll get no argument from me about Snow patrol's mediocrity, but Arcade fire is anything but and in an entirely different league with regard to talent and their actual sound which is unlike anything else out there...BUT WHAT EVAAR. :/
