I've always liked Turn On The Bright Lights. Not my favorite album by any means, or even my favorite of that style in that era, but still a decent album.
-- My latest contribution to this thread is this: ![]() Tyler, the Creator—Wolf Why do I keep doing this to myself? I've disliked everything I've ever heard from Odd Future, with the exception of parts of the Earl Sweatshirt album and a couple songs from Goblin, and yet I keep giving them more chances. This time it was because a co-worker told me how great this album is, and how it's such a departure from Tyler's previous albums. I guess it's a departure in the sense that it eschews the 10% quality level of Goblin in favor of 0%. He's basically taken the absolute worst muzak aspects of the last album and applied them a thousandfold to this one. The song "Tamale" is the only part of the album that's better than abysmal and that really isn't a compliment. Puke. |
