generally yes, but there is a good amount of rap and pop that aren't influentially bad, Why? is a good example of a not-so-bad influence, pop well, that's easy a lot of my friends (you tube pop stars), Vampire Weekend (yes it's considered pop), and a bunch of others

I'd say pop music is far more instrumental in effecting mediocrity than influencing bad behavior. It seems far too dull and inconsequential to have an appreciable effect on anyone.
