Default most unique covers you've either done, are working on, or would like to try.

as a "singer/songwriter" i myself have never done a cover. in fact, even in the bands i've been in where i was drummer, i've rarely been interested in doing covers. i do think it's a neat idea, i just have too many ideas for original stuff and just seem to not ever get around to doing a cover.

in one band though, which was a three-piece something-to-do-with-rock kinda band, we decided to a couple covers for a couple halloween shows we did, namely MJ's Thriller and the Ghostbusters theme song. we sort of funk/psychedelicized both of them with added vocals (my dad, who's a soul singer came up for ghostbusters) and this sax player named Colin Fisher came up for both and rocked it.

anyway. now as a songwriter i just don't know enough about guitar (i basically play it like a drum) to do a cover i think... but if i did, it would probably be something weird like sour grapes by puscifer, or maybe a bjork tune... something off volta maybe?

who knows. tell me about you and covers!
