Heavenly- Heavenly vs. Satan, The Field Mice- For Keeps. I don't have any of the well respected, well liked alternative rock albums of 1991.

If I had to choose one, it would be this... few bands are as compellingly introspective and nihilistic as Swans.

Oh, definitely spiderland. That album is epic. it started two of my favorite genres, math rock and post rock.
with out slint, there would be no don caballero or battles or mogwai :S

My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
Slint - Spiderland

I'll choose Spiderland as my favorite... yep

May be one of my favorites by the Smashing Pumpkins. I like how someone said on this forum in some thread that Billy Corgan's music was best when he had hair and as he progressivley lost hair his albums started sucking. I kind of agree with that statement.
