I have a question. If the 60s, 70s and 80s were the golden ages of music, when it peaked, does it mean then that the 90s marked music's decline?

90s rhythm and Blues was awesome?

The 60s-70s were golden era, how old are you?

The 90s were terrible for music what are you taking? The 80s were the last great era if you ask me

You weren't even alive in the 60s, stop talking about this revolutionary nonsense as if you lived it

50s-60s Jazz was at its peak and so was country.
60s - early 80s rhythm and blues/soul was at its peak
60s-80s pop music was at its peak.
70s reggae and funk peaked
60s - 70s rock music peaked

The talent pool between the 50s-80s was stacked across many genres.

Music started to decline badly throughout the 1990s and it hasn't recovered since, I feel sad for the youngster's who were born in the 1980s and later because they missed out on the best time for music.

Talk about taking things out of context loool! The majority of the post you quoted me was about rhythm and blues/soul and did you notice me mentioning the 70s being my favourite era for that genre? Because I actually did a poll which is about your favourite era for rhythm and blues/soul lol, someone clearly didn't even read the whole thread to get the full context.

So no actually it isn't 10/20 posts, maybe take your own advice young man. Got a little too excited there.

Renaissance Madrigals said the same thing about Polyphony.

Yeah, many singers of madrigal have complained that these new forms just
don't resonate with the young folk like they did in the hot days of the 16th Century.
