Favorite political album?
So what is your favorite album that contains some political lyrics and/or theme?
I like this one: Enter Shikari - Common Dreads http://m.blog.hu/la/langologitarok/i...mondreads1.jpg It has some pretty great socio-political lyrics in it. |
The Shape Of Punk To Come, Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables, Give 'Em Enough Rope, and American Idiot are the first that come to mind.

Gang Of Four-Entertainment Maoist punk-funk critiquing how sex,the media and selective views of history are means of social control by the powers that be. As good as that sounds. http://thimk.files.wordpress.com/200...back-front.jpg It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back-Public Enemy A perfect fusion of sonic and political chaos, and startingly well-informed about the issues at hand. |
****, I forgot Entertainment!
|
None. I listen to music to forget about politics. Socio-political lyrics are fine and are relate able to me but politics within music is something I don't care to enjoy.

I actually don't mind American Idiot. I really like Jesus of Suburbia. I just knew I'd get a lot of **** for mentioning it here |
I like it a lot too. I think it's political rants are kind of weak but I don't listen to it for awesome thought-provoking arguments.
