I don`t really care about image , I mean I liked Poison Idea & half of that band weighed about 300 pounds each.

i don't agree. first of all, you can't talk about so many people as if we're all the same. "image matters" is your opinion, you don't have to find an "excuse" for what you think by saying everybody thinks that and won't admit it.

well DUH it's my opinion. that's why I said it.
And yes, people are ALL the SAME. You, that one guy, that other dork, ALL totally the same. And, I dont need excuses for anything. I can say whatever I want, when I want. Also, image does matter. Do you look in the mirror before you leave the house? thought so. And, you probably put a bag over your head too.

do you consider yourself the same as all the other people? thought so. because we're not the same. and image matters for those who "wear" it, for those who wanna criticise or for those who really think it's important. i care about the way i look when i get out of my house but i don't care about how bob dylan looks like, for example.

People make concious and subconcious judgements about EVERYTHING based on physical appearance, not Just music, So as much as you want to say that it doesn't matter, it does. It may not hold as much weight for you as other criteria when it comes to judging something, anything, but to deny its influence is crazy. The record industry wouldn't be dressing "artists" up like paper dolls if it Made no difference one way or the other.

Anarchy doll 03-26-2005 11:36 AM

the way I look at it, you can't dress origional anymore...someone has done it before...so you can do it cuz you want to, or do it cuz you feel you have to, the people true to themselves will keep dressing that way....

Image of a band doesn't matter to me, unless they are trying too hard to look like something they are not, striving to have an image, in which case I would begin to lose respect for them. However if the music's good still can't say nothing about them as musicians wether they are twats or not.

lljr 03-28-2005 02:43 PM

i dont think it matters but also consider the point of how many girls like boy bands becasuse of the way they look or dont like B. Spears cuz they think she dresses slutty etc.

Of course image matters. We live in an extremely superficial world, and if you don't see that, well you're either in denial or you're incredibly naive.
