iTunes issue.

Well, obviously I use iTunes for my music, and in the last few days it's been acting quite weird... It's been literally cutting some of my songs, and I can't seem to restore them back to their original length.
Example: A song was 4:00 in length, and earlier, it magically became 0:08. I'm quite sure the file isn't corrupted, because I've checked it's details and all, and it seems fine. I've tried deleting it from my itunes library and re-adding it, but it just comes up as 0:08 length.
For now, this is the 2nd song it's done this to, and I find it really irritating since I have no idea why it's doing it and what I can do to prevent it.
The only think I could do (what I did for the 1st song this happened to) is go and re-download that one song, and overwrite the original song's file, but honestly, I really can't be f***ed doing that every time.

Does anyone know what's wrong with it? :/

First, right click (assuming you're using a PC) the offending song and hit "Get Info", then go to "Options" and make sure the "Stop Time" isn't set to something wonky.

If it isn't, you can try using an MP3 checker. I've used this (link) to fix songs that are corrupted in that they won't play in iTunes, or that they don't save album artwork. I've never had your problem, but it might fix that as well.

> Run 'mp3val-frontend.exe'
> Load the offending songs ("add folder/files to validate")
> Check the offending songs ("Actions > scan all")
> And if it says "PROBLEM" on the right column, fix the songs ("Actions > fix all")
It actually rewrites the MP3 file itself, so there are no duplicates and you don't have to mess with the file in iTunes (assuming this works for you), so you should be able to simply play it like normal.
