Have I Been Sleeping On Disco?

I've always had an irrational disdain for disco, i dont know why, maybe because of the movie saturday night fever, but I completely disregarded it in the past as a musical genre. but last night my mom threw a disco party, and let me tell you, these old people knew how to get down. I actually liked a lot of the songs they were playing, particularly these songs

Dude, Saturday Night Fever has one of the best soundtracks ever made.

I mean, this song alone is ****ing amazing.

edit: on second thought, watching them actually sing that song is pretty disturbing. haha

I like a broad definition of disco, same with other genres.

Don't like disco music, it's alright to dance along to when you're drunk - but apart from that.

Most people generally consider 'the 60's' as one of the more wilder decades, but believe it or not the 1970s may have been even wilder (and that is why those oldsters knew 'how to get down')

It just kind of how it is, but don't worry because folks have been partying hard for eternity. (and probably embarrassing their children in the process)

Look at the Ancient Romans with all their orgies and stuff.

Also the 1920s with all those 'flapper girls' and people going crazy in their cars (you could drive somewhere else... to do something elicit and no one would ever know!)
