i've been collecting since i was 13

i'm 40 now but i don't really buy or download that many albums

I've been collecting since pre-teens and I just turned 50! But, like you, I haven't purchased anything new in quite awhile. Now I end up buying CD's for my daughters instead of myself.

my collection is around 1,500

i'll get into a shopping spree, buy 3 or 4 at the most, then feel a bit music saturated, then go to other hobbies

After cleaning out my collection a bit...only a bit more than 100. :‹

I plan to change that this summer due to my huge amounts of free time.

I lost the majority of my library about 6mo ago, I've been downloading ever since.

It kills me that I have a really nice album collection but my receiver needs repair and my turntable needs a new cartridge! The budget has been rather tight for some time now so I'm not sure when I'll get them working again....

i only bought vinyl when i was 14 - i only had one album, one 12" single and 3 7" singles

I was a vinyl junkie. When the other kids were spending their money on toys and sports cards and such, I was buying albums. I would read all the rock magazines (creem, circus, etc...) and buy anything and everything that sounded cool. Creem was a huge influence. I would buy anything that Lester Bangs would write about. The man rarely steered me wrong!

it's the upkeep and maintenance of the records that bothers me, and I also broke the stylus trying to scratch, and my dad had no interest in replacing it so that's that

I have 1446 albums in my library didnt think I had that many so kinda chuffed!
