Default Offbeat Observations About Music

Not saying they have to be really funny, just enough to raise a knowing smirk.

For example.....

Typing out the tracklisting for Napalm Death's Scum album takes longer to do than what it would to listen to the bloody thing.

Got that?

Good

Away you go then.

Every time I see a track less than 2 minutes with the word "Intro" in its name, I know I'll never listen to it.

Next.

In Indiana, I guarantee if you go out to a bar you WILL hear Journey's 'Don't Stop Believing' before the end of the night.

In fact, there was an acoustic band playing last Thursday and they were playing a great selection. Then all the sudden I hear it. Yep....even with a live acoustic band I had to endure this song.

Oh, and the entire ****ing bar sings along to it.

I think the song I heard the most in my life is Bohemian Rhapsody, and not because I like this song, but because every frickin' day, someone feels the need to show off his ability to sing all the lyrics, in five different voices of the most puking hideousness.

Why do they play country music at roller rinks?
I live in Ohio. I don't hear it much. Don't ask me why I was in a roller rink. I know this isn't 1974 but I was. And they were playing country music. Not just one song, a continuous loop of country songs. The roller rink was filled with preteens who bitched and requested Lil' Wayne songs all night.

I'm guilty of this.

I think we've arrived at the crux of your problem right here...

there should be a rule prohibiting cover band's from "posting new tunes" to their myspace pages. if you are a cover band, you, in fact, never have "new tunes" to post. sorta an oxymoron.
