Acapella Songs
Anyone know a good way to get Acapella songs? A site, program, anything?

Essentially, I don't think a program could do that for you. The purpose is a capella is to utilize your voice as all instruments. Audacity would be perfect for this because you don't need to put on effects or anything.
However, A capella takes amazing singers to pull off. You need to be well trained, unless you're doing it for purposes of parody, or satire. Fact of the matter is, without instruments, you're going to need to be able to do truly amazing things with your voice. If you attempt it, however, don't forget the power of overdubbing vocals. It's a very common/powerful technique, and has been since the 60s. |

Also you could mess with the hertz of a previously recorded track, and up it to make it higher, etc. An effects pedal is the best way IMO thought. |
I think he means if there is a program that can extract the vocals from a song

Oh okay. Well stupid fun fact I know i believe the human voice is around 20-40 decibels.... therefore take out your EQ and turn that up and the rest down....
I know of no programs, and don't think there would be one. Good luck to ya fella/ma'am |

I've seen some acapellas on youtube for some songs but they're rare and difficult to find. I've tried extracting them from songs but I havn't tried the Hertz thing someone above just suggested. I'll see if that works. Any other suggestions? |
acapella isn't a program, its a style of music. like you would place barbershop music in acapella. Yes it is music with just voices, and nothing else. I cannot think of anythin else right now sorry silver

A lot of 'a capellas' you find around the net are actually just stems from the original recording that have been kept separate for remix purposes or otherwise. You can find a lot of these vocal tracks simply by finding open remix contests, or vocal sources people have saved from previous contests.
