iTunes Music Store Removing Music?

Does anyone know what has happened to iTunes music store? It seems many music videos have been removed. I have also noticed many albums that used to be available in full are now only available as partial albums, deluxe edition/bonus track versions in particular. Could have anything to do with the rumors about Sony pulling music from iTunes?

People still use the iTunes store? Doesn't it encode purchases in a useless 128kbps AAC format?

All my recent purchases have been 256kbps.

Oh, they must have upgraded. I remember buying something (I think it was Piano Man by Billy Joel) a couple years ago and getting it in 128. I was like... f that.

I don't think so.

I never noticed if they're removing stuff. I haven't purchased anything from the store in almost a year, but I know they just ADDED the entire Beatles discography. If Sony is planning on removing music from iTunes, they'd also be cutting out a huge portion of their revenue. Most people buy music online now, and iTunes is the biggest online music store right now.
