I vaguely remember that show Second City TV and thinking it was a more esoteric version of Saturday Night Live. Don't recall seeing that skit, though.

Confession: I actually like Donna Summer's "MacArthur Park", mainly because I think her voice is amazing on just about anything. I also like Frank Sinatra's version on his Trilogy album -- in which Frank removed whole portions of the lyrics, including the cake in the rain!

I seriously feel my blood pressure go up anytime I hear anyone of these songs. Unfortunately, my boss at work has a collection of Now That's What I Call Music discs and he insists on playing them throughout the day. And these songs are spread throughout these discs.

Passenger - Let Her Go
Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen - Good Time
Owl City - Fireflies
MACKLEMORE & RYAN LEWIS - CAN'T HOLD US
Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe
Chris Brown - Don't Wake Me Up
Bastille - Pompeii
John Legend - All of Me
Capital Cities - Safe and Sound
Imagine Dragons - Top of the World
Kelly Clarkson - Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)
Train - Hey, Soul Sister
One Republic - Apologize
Taylor Swift - Trouble
Sara Bareilles - Brave
Katy Perry - Unconditionally
Taylor Swift - We are never ever getting back together
Lorde - Royals
Bruno Mars - Young Girls

For my tastes, it was leaps and bounds better. Nerd humor at it's best for the times.

Rick Moranis as Woody Allen! And I remember him doing Merv Griffin and saying "Oooh" a lot.

Whenever I hear Miike Snow's "Animal", I want to gouge my ears out. But then I don't, because it would be the last thing I ever hear. Life is hard.

I hate most VH songs but this one takes the cake because the drums at the beginning are so incredible it sets it up to be a great song. Then EVH proceeds to take those great drums and spew day after Taco Bell all over it. Then it just gets worse and worse when the vocals come in. Bleh.

There was so much raw talent on SCTV. I mean, most of these people went on to big things in movies.

John Candy
Robin Duke
Joe Flaherty
Eugene Levy
Andrea Martin
Rick Moranis
Catherine O'Hara
Harold Ramis
Tony Rosato
Martin Short
Dave Thomas

I don't really know the names of most of them, except if it's one by an artist I like..But I can't come up with one at the moment, damn it.
