Default Need a song for a character

Hello all!

New around here, hoping to find a song to represent a character I am working on.

He is a member of a extended family, with everyone having different roles. He is the Steward of the family, always taking care of everyone and there needs, no matter how mundane. He is obsessive about it, making sure to keep everything neat and in order, preferably with out them even knowing he was there.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks.

Bruce Springsteen's "My Father's House" is a nice one.

"My Dad" by Paul Peterson is also excellent.

Drifting by Andy McKee (acoustic instrumental)
Gerald by Neil Cowley Trio (jazz instrumental)
Everything In Its Right Place by Radiohead (if you want it a bit creepy)
Gobbledi**** by Sigur Ros

Those are just some suggestions

These are close to what I'm looking for, especially Everything in its right place. The more I work on the character, I'm finding he has a lot of emotion that he can't quite control. Rather than try and control them, he channels them into his care taking, becoming that much more obsessed with it. The creepy helps with that a lot. Anything else similar, that maybe has a fast beat would also be great.

The father songs don't tie that terribly well, unfortunately, since his father screwing up is what has him in the place his is now, watching over the rest of the family.

Thanks a ton for the suggestions so far! Anymore are gladly welcomed!

Thanks!

Heheh, That's actually pretty good. That does help sum up his situation rather well.

A creepy song thats fast is hard to come by since slowing the music down is really what creates that effect. Here's some more suggestions that might fit sort of though:

No Vacation - The Apples In Stereo (more electronic upbeat with some strange/almost creepy moments)

Do You Love - Final Fantasy (Sort of sounds like broadway)

Turn On Me - The Shins

You could try 'Well Respected Man' by The Kinks too maybe

Yeah, I realize now that creepy and fast won't really go together well. I'd say fast, or maybe hard, would be more important. He's got a lot of emotion pent up, and it has him driven, very purposeful. I can hear the song in my head, not literally mind you. It's got a strong beat, heavy drums, something along those lines.

Keep them coming folks, everything is helping realize this character more and more. I really appreciate it.
