He makes good and very likeable music, and well see urban's post above. I think he deserves to be where hes at.

For God's sake, whatever you do, DO NOT LIKE JOHNNY CASH! YOUR PUNK CRED WILL GO TO DUST! HE IS TRENDY! So are ramones T-shirts change your username.

Overreaction? Maybe, but what the hell is the mindset that assumes when everyone likes an artist its because they are trendy?

You should know by now a nation of "atni-" kids wouldn't follow something that was liked because other people liked it. I'm sorry but thats beyond irritating and above all else, ignorant.

The worst for me is Black Metal and Thrash Metal.
Basically, if I can't understand the lyrics and sing along to it, I don't like it.

A question re. Johnny Cash - if "Walk The Line" had not been made, do you really think his resurgence in popularity would have taken place??

lyricalgirl 02-22-2006 02:41 AM

my worst type of music is that classical crap i hate it and im not to keen on pop

I would not have got into Johnny Cash if Walk The Line had not been created, I'll admit it. I don't know anybody else who likes him though so it's not like I'm jumping on the bandwagon. It's not a bad thing to get into an artist of the moment you know. I know that might not be the punk way for a lot of you punk fans out there but it's true. I like Johnny Cash because of Walk of the Line but I never had an interest before. That's not so bad.

So what kind of "classical crap" are you refering to? Renaissance, Baroque, or maybe the Romantic Style? Are any of those the type of music you were talking about or should I name more?

If you're going to bash an entire genre, at least do it intelligently, or you'll come off as a complete idiot.

Urban Hat€monger ? 02-22-2006 04:06 PM

This whole thread kind of invited bashing entire genres. Thats why it`s called worst type of music

yes, but it would be nice if people actually explained why they disliked an entire genre, instead of just saying "It's all crap". Then maybe we could actually have some discussion going on instead of pages filled with nothing but "-insert genre here- sucks!!! It's all crap!!".

Urban Hat€monger ? 02-22-2006 04:09 PM

Don`t be silly , nobody does that
