all I meant was that Rastafarianism is a religion to which the white man does (by definition) not apply. the clash didn't wear sacred dreadlocks and go to glastonbury

I can't really get into rap no matter how hard I've tried.

It's pretty rare when I listen to an entire rap album...and I'd have to say the worst music on the face of the earth would have to be that scene bull****.

Why? Just curious, like what have you listened to, why didn't you like it?

I think it's really hard to define what is good and bad music. Even radio pop does have merit as someone did write the tune, music, words and so on which although annoying and not to my liking, does take talent.

I draw lines with my music in the regard that it has to have meaning for me. I need to see value in the words and the music to truly appreciate it. I am guilty of sticking in pop-(name your genre) from time to time as it's easy to listen to when you don't want to think but when it comes down to it, I need reason, heart, meaning, truth, etc. in my music. I guess that's why I love U2 and Johnny Cash so much.

I've tried a variety of stuff people have recommended from Del The Funky Homosapien to Cannabis. I'm not sure I can put into words why I didn't like them though.

I've only heard Thou Shalt Always Kill and it if I recall it didn't stand out too much. I'll go check him out though.
