How many times do you listen to a new album...

Depends on the album but I'd say it's usually something like 2-3 listens.

I don't judge art in terms of dollars.

This completely depends on the album. Some albums I no doubt listen to hundreds of times, others only a few times.

If I want to hear it again, I buy it. Then I listen willy nilly.

I can't listen to an album and not in the back of my mind already sort of think if I like the album or not. But as final decisions go, at least a couple of times.

In general, depending on the album, it varies.

1. Depends. I'm more likely to immediately dislike an album than like an album. There are albums I've previously disliked and now like/love

2. Never thought of this.

3. There are many albums I revisit and listen to at nauseam. For example, I've listen to The Replacements - Let It Be, at least a half a dozen times in the past week.

1.) It really varies. Sometimes, I can listen to an album and immediately know that I dig it after one listen. Sometimes, I might put the album aside and listen to it later to see if it grows on me. Sometimes, I'll give the album more than two tries. Usually if it's not grown on me after four or five listens, I'll definitely decide it's not for me. I really don't expend that much effort, though, if I really don't like it at all after a listen or two.

2.) I really don't know. I've never really felt "ripped off" by an album, I guess?

3.) This varies so much from album to album that I couldn't even answer this properly.

By the third question, I meant how many times do you listen to an album YOU REALLY LIKE in general?

Like once really. Cus I wouldn't just randomly buy some artists' album before, without knowing I'll like it D:

Ohh. Well, in that case, I'll generally listen to an album 20+ times.
