We had only two album nominations this week, and only one of us has gotten around to the Genesis album.

I wonder if it's time to give the Club a rest? It's a lot of work to do for three people to take part in. The sub-genre clubs tend to wither when they get to this point of activity.

Gonna give the club another week to bring in nominations. If we can't bring up the numbers, then I think I'm going to close it for a few months. 14 solid months is a pretty good run, and better than I expected when I opened the club up.

I don't listen to a lot of prog. So little that I would only say I enjoy two prog albums, one of which can only narrowly be called prog. I have this lingering impression that prog is tacky and overwrought in its application of drama, and so I tend to wrinkle my nose at the genre.

Selling England isn't really disproving my impression of the genre, to be frank. I suppose it is a quintessential prog album, so I can't say I'm really surprised. I am pretty disappointed that I'm still not "getting" prog though.

I like Thick as a Brick, and Cardiacs' On Land and In the Sea (which is the album that is only reaching to be called prog, in my opinion).

If prog is the theme, i'll submit an album. Let me know if that's the theme though, otherwise i'll just look like an idiot.

The current theme is "Your favourite new releases". Surely you've got one of those for us!

I've always thought that Selling England By The Pound was a boring album, but one of those good boring albums, if you know what I mean. I by no means dislike it. In fact, it's probably one of my favorite albums, but there's something about Peter Gabriel's vocals and the compositions in general that I've always thought was monotonous. Does anyone else get that?

Still a complete 10/10 album though, if I do say so myself.
