The Rolling Stones - Brown Sugar
Tom Waits - Downtown Train
Leonard Cohen - Hallelujah (the original album version from 1984; he has made many wonderful live performances of the song though)
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Maps (seriously, why is it that popular? Literally every other song by them is better)
Bob Dylan - Knockin' on Heaven's Door

I'm with you, song sucks. Though I guess I'm not a big Van Halen fan in the first place.

I will second this and say it and Blind Love are the cardinal reasons why I prefer Swordfishtrombones to Rain Dogs.

Hey, I like that song! It's one of my favourite Dylan songs.

I mostly like this track live, but I absolutely detest the studio version.

...but I totally agree with this. He has a ton of great songs, why so many musicians choose to cover this one I'll never understand. It doesn't even have very good lyrics.

I disagree with you on this. His version definitely isn't the best, but some of the covers are great. And I like the lyrics.

i have to agree with all that is being said about Leonard Cohen.....i just don't see how such a simple song is renowned as his masterpiece....although i must say it had my eyes flooding when i saw him perform it live

All Apologies by Nirvana.....hate does not even begin to express how i feel about that song....and really that whole Unplugged album
