Default Looking for African Music

Hi. I am having a fund-raiser party for a Children's Home in western Kenya and I am looking for music to play at the party. Does anyone know of a band/orchestra/whatever that has songs that are upbeat for a party, but have an African quality to it as well, to stay with the overall theme of our fund-raiser? Just looking for suggestions. Thanks!

Default Kenya music

These artists might provide what you are looking for: Joseph Kamaru, Jane Nyambura, Extra Golden, Afro Celt Sound, Freshlyground, Mighty King Kong and Jua Cali.

I'm partial to Lokua Kanza, Sidi Toure, Toumani Diabaté, Toofan (who are REALLY fun), and perhaps Tiken Jah Fakoly? There's also an album, Seprewa Kasa, which is quite beautiful and uplifting. It's technically their band name, but I'm pretty sure it was just a one time collaboration.
