Rarest Records thread

We've had a few of these pop up in the past, but I thought I'd make an official one. Maybe even set up an index. What's the rarest record (album) you've ever owned? What are some other rare albums you've stumbled upon? To clarify, we're not talking about rare copies of well known albums in some dated or obscure format, we're talking albums that are rare because the music itself is hard to come by. These could be vinyls, cassettes, CDs, digital downloads.. Etc. they don't even have to be good, so long as they're rare.

I think my two rarest records are
- Scientist rids the World by the Evil Curse of the Vampire, by Scientist
- Matchbox (self titled) by Earth & Fire

Then I've got some dub (Tubby, Scientist, Perry) albums of which you never know if they're going to be reissued anytime soon. So they could be rare.
I've also got the Debut album by DeWolff, a band that's going to be very big in the future. A couple of hundred of them are made.
The record is already (it's 3 years old or so) worth twice what I paid for it.

Then i've got some of the standard 'rarities' like a Fleetwood Mac bootleg, some various pressings of some beatles albums, some original 60's psychedelica...

I've the complete Death demos on CDs from a "label" called 'devil metal' that was, I'm fairly certain, operated by Kam Lee.

Other than that I've some original pressings and versions from labels long defunct; like the Vulture Records version of "Despise the Sun".

I had an original '77 pressing of Marquee Moon on vinyl that sounded lovely. Unfortunately I sold it along with all my other LP's in 2008 when I fell upon some hard times.

Dawn Treader's Unreleased/Unfinished Tower Split, thanks to Jeremy (Treader) for sending me a few really really rough tracks that still blow most music I've ever heard out of the water.

This makes me one of very very few people to have copies of this music I'm guessing, because if it wasn't ever released or finished then I guess only those who had the privilege of seeing DT live have heard these tracks.

Powerman 5000's Anyone For Doomsday? was limited release and then pulled/scrapped by the band, and they went another direction musically. I really liked the album, though. 5-10 years ago they were between 200 and 400 dollars for a real copy on ebay. A quick look at amazon confirms its still bat**** expensive, 200 used, 360 new.

When I was 15 I almost spent all my savings on a copy. It is probably their strongest work. Alas, I don't actually own it, but it is very rare...

I have a CD by Adelaide band Sukatash, not many of those around, kind of hip hop jazz fusion.

Plus I have one of the 500 marble vinyl copies of Marbles by Marillion, not quite on topic though - just showing off :) .

I don't have any rare records per se, but I do have some rare recordings from various super obscure bands. I have all of the material from the precursor band to Hisoft, and I had to get on my hands and knees to look for it. In the end, only one person on the net had what I was looking for... what luck! I also have all of Harpy's material, which was also a bitch to get, but very well worth it.

Here's a Harpy song I uploaded, just because there was not a single thing up on youtube.
