Jimi Hendrix was a sensual artist (nothing wrong with that). Soulful would be more Miles Davis, Led Zeppelin or Enya.

You called Dream Theater one of the worst bands of all time. You said the Monkees and Korn were better than Dream Theater. You shouldn't even be talking. Your post was more dumb than anything I ever posted.

Then you go on saying it's your opinion (which I agreed).

Don't be a hypocrite.

i am not trolling at all - any of the Monkees' hit songs, especially stuff like "Last Train to Clarksville" is better than any DT album

Korn's debut and "Untouchables" are superb

That is your opinion. When you stated your opinion I didn't call you a troll. I respected your opinion even though I thought it was ridiculous.

If I state an opinon of my my own and you don't agree or understand that does not qualify me as a troll.

well, then, IMHO, DT is:-

Rush without the pompous fun silliness
Yes without the proper application of virtousity
Gentle Giant without craftmanship of tunes

in fact, I don't like Porcupine Tree much but in comparison to DT, they (PT) can at least write proper songs

and i'm not mocking DT out of ignorance, i frequent a lot of music boards where they regularly post live performances and studio songs

I would compare Dream Theater to a computer with no software.

Those are actually some of my favorite bands (not Jimi). The point is that they were great but also had weaknesses.

If thats what you`ve got to say about bands you like, I`d hate to read what you`d say about bands you dislike.

It qualifies you as a troll, when you randomly go around picking out artists to criticize, then state they are amongst your favourite artists, the whole thing ends up as being just an elaborate contradiction. On top of this, you often use examples of artists and its obvious your knowledge of said artist is rather limited, Frank Zappa on another thread was a perfect example of this.

I don`t think you`re a clever troll, just a troll trying to be a bit different.

well, if he gets upset by being called a troll, he shouldn't give such nonsensical descriptions of various esteemed artists, which won't go down well with most music geeks around here, then try to qualify his descriptions, which are contradictory to what he said earlier

Pretty much sums it up really, I`m just surprised he hasn`t mentioned artists like the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and Yes etc.........I suppose they`re yet to come.

You don't make sense. Why should I look past the flaws of my favorite artists? I don't fixate on them while listening to their music but that doesn't mean I don't notice.

I wasn't being random. I was replying to Il Duce when he/she showed some of Dream Theater's weaknesses. The point was to show that even great artists/bands (some legendary) have weaknesses too.

In some ways you could be seen as a troll. Implying that me bringing up those artists weaknesses was random clearly shows that you are skimming the comments and looking for something to disagree with.
