i don't think weed makes sex better at all - it makes you erect longer, sure, but it takes forever to come

i can only say the only music that sounds better on weed is reggae, especially dub, it seems to flow with whatever frequency your brainwaves are on weed - the kind of push/pull effect - it's like your mind is having a conversation with the music

i've been sober for the past two 20 yrs - i'm too caught up in the real world and mired in it to want to escape

in any event, some of my meds do get me high as a side-effect, neways

To say whether or not it's better or worse is completely subjective. To say that it's "different", however, is undeniable.

I mean, Hell, your mind processes music differently when you're in different moods, tired, super-alert...anything.

I don't think that being on any drug is necessary or even undeniably conducive to any music listening experience. I'm just saying that it's a different way to experience music, and I'm a fan of having as many experiences as is humanly possible.

To each his/her own.

As an aside:
I've found that while stoned, the sort of music I've been drawn to as a positive experience has been acoustic, melodically complex, or rhythmic. Stoned jazz is actually something I particularly enjoy, although I'm a huge fan of jazz while sober or under the influence of other non-cannabis substances. Not so big on it drunk.

I think it also helps my guitar playing. It helps me relax and I tend to feel it a little more when I'm high, instead of thinking too much.

I think this explains it, listening to your favorite tunes increases the flow of dopamine to your brain, weed also increases that flow. Therefore when you're listening to music, the dopamine is flowing, then when you smoke, the dopamine begins to flow even more, and that results in double the pleasure.:pimp:

To sum this up, listening to music causes dopamine to flow to your brain. And getting high does as well. When you're listening to music and getting high there is more dopamine flowing to your brain as opposed to if you were just doing one without the other.

Makes sense to me.

That's crazy to me. Getting stoned increases my desire to pick up the guitar.

I feel like it's easier to write music when you're stoned too.

I disagree. I had my highest math test scores when I was stoned.

I honestly don't think so. If you can't listen to something sober, maybe you don't like it. I do not smoke weed at all, and NEVER listen to real music when I drink.

The few times I do drink(maybe once every other week or so), ****ty bar music sounds fun as ****. Yet, I realize it's more me being a drunk idiot than legitimately noticing something about the music.

With that said, one could also argue, I probably listen to significantly more advanced layered difficult music than the average pothead, and feel no further need for assistance than I already have.

Look out, this guy is better at listening to music than you are.
