Mojave 3 - Ask Me Tomorrow.

I want to like this, but whenever I give it a go I find myself drifting away. It's an album that so far just hasn't been able to hold my attention.

Their Prisoners of Love compilation covers their career from 1985 up until 2003. If you don't have it already it's a great compilation and covers all aspects of their sound.

If you're looking for a single album Painful is a great album to start off with. It's fairly typical of their sound and the running time isn't too long, so it's fairly easy to get into.

It's a very mellow album. I suppose the best way to get into it would be to just close off any distractions and focus on the introspective nature of the album, perhaps when you are in a reflective or downbeat mood, if that makes any sense. The album clicked with me on a train journey one day by myself, it's a very solitary album.

As of late it seems that all of the albums I've been listening to are only possible growers. I haven't enjoyed an album at first listen in bloody ages. It seems like everything I've listened to is pleasant, but it rarely makes an impact. It's rubbish, absolute rubbish.

Edit: Including that Mojave 3 album, actually. I have it and I've listened to it, but I can't remember a bloody thing.

I LOVED "Crown Of Thorns" I really should check out the full album. Still a shame that Andy Wood died. But if he didn't my favourite band Pearl Jam never would have been formed.
