Ideas for a music blog

Hey folks

I'm starting my own music blog and would love it if anyone could help me with ideas for it. I'm kind of new to the blogging world and want to write about subjects that are actually interesting for people to read. The main topic is of course music, but do any of you have any suggestions for what it could be about?
What would you like to read about?

thank you and rock on

Thanks for the reply!
My general idea was to blog about a lot of different things, but i figured out that I will have to scale it down a bit, so the main things will be: giving tips about upcoming music events, album releases and new songs.

Since I study music it would be fun to make the blog about how to succeed in the music industry. In that case I could include mini interviews with people in my surrounding who are more experienced and sort of help other people like me in how to make it.
This blog will be a part of a school project and the main issue is how to make it interesting, like you said, I have to come up with some kind of niche, and I guess that's the hardest part.

The first part makes it seem like you're asking for help with your homework (no one is really going to do it for you). The 2nd part, well, there's the classic line of advice in regards to any sort of creative writing - write what you know.

How can you write about succeeding in the industry if you're still a student? What would it be besides regurgitating your teacher's theories... and if they were really successful in the industry why are they working as teachers?

Interviewing up and coming local musicians could be interesting as a way of getting clearer insight into the reality of being a modern working musician though. Then again it also depends on what sort of living you want to make within the industry. Are you studying to be a crowd facing performance type or a behind the scenes production type?

I guess I shouldn't be surprised you didn't recommend the ability to spell as an idea.

Blogging is good idea to share you knowledge about course music. I like to read about all this type blogs and It can helps to get all knowledge about music. Generally people are like to listen and read about classic songs. I also like classic songs to listen and read. You can submit your blog in several blog directories to get more visitors on your blog.

I always wanted to to that too but never could because of time commitments.

Some of the things I would consider would be to feature a new artist or new album every week and review it, recommend it, hate it, love it..etc.

also give editting access to different bloggers to also have guest posts. This will diversify the content of the blog.
