The Beatles and Stones were so inspiring in the 60s and 70s they just cant be overlooked, and the hysteria that surrounded them at the time wasn't all hype, they are outstanding bands. Elvis Presley was a revelation in the 50s. He made rock n roll what it is today, and his live performances were amazing to watch, the guys voice was smooth as butter. Jimi Hendrix expanded on sound and took it to other universes. I have grown away from his music over the years, but Axis Bold as love and Electric Ladyland were massive recordings in the big picture of music. While im not a big Led Zeppelin fan you can't overlook their discography as a whole. They churned out massive hit after hit. |
Guns N' Roses in the top 10!
