Leonard Cohen - genre?

I'm re-organizing my iTunes library to lessen the number of genres & genre combos like instead of Pop & Pop/Rock I choose one or the other. I'm stuck when it comes to Cohen!

Those who are fans, what would you classify his music as? Folk, Rock, Pop, or something else? I don't have any other "Folk" music so I'm not sure about calling him a Folk singer, but when you google him it is listed as his genre.

Thanks! :)

his 60s/70s stuff is "folk"

"Death of a Ladies' Man" is "lounge"

the 80s stuff onwards is quirky pop

This album is so weird, it is so different from Cohens other stuff... your like 'WTF?'... sort of like Chris Cornell and his 'Scream' album.

Personally I would classify this album as 'other' (which I am pretty sure is an option on I-tunes)

I've always put him in the same genre as Bob Dylan and Donovan - old and boring sacred cows.
