Rolling Stones 2012 Revised 500 Greatest Albums of All Time List :)
RadioKaKa <--- the link
What do you think about the changes done to the list? What should've been higher/lower? on the list? not on the list? I'm pretty bugged that not even 1 genesis album made it on the list :( Kanye West's "Late Registration" is 118 on the list but that's not even his best album...:banghead: Beach Boys "Smile" should be placed a bit higher in the list(381) Lil Wayne's "The Carter 3" made it? really? WTF!:nono: |
These lists no longer incite any response in me at all.

I've seen enough of them now to know what to expect, and know enough not to get all worked up about something so arbitrary.

The problem with these lists, are does it really matter if you're 109 on the list or 210, it all becomes quickly irrelevant.
|
Might I also add that even for the sake of amusement, I find none of it. So it's a very quick lose of interest and a big "who cares", which doesn't help much in fostering any kind of conversation on the musicians themselves.

Who are the voters? musicians right?

My boy Kanye representing with MBTDF, great record. Should be Top 10.

These kind of lists are a prime example of why I think the Beatles are overrated. Look at that top 10, it has 4 Beatles albums. And the rets of it is rather overrated stuff as well. In fact, the only thing in the top 100 that stands out to me is that Kid A made a huge leap (and rightfully so). Why they choose The Bends over OKC is beyond me though, I mean, The Bends is awesome and nearly perfect, but OKC is definitely a step above that. Overall, I don't see a lot of special or surprising stuff around anyways. Then I'd rather take Pitchfork, while sometimes they are a bit doubtful, they do present some less known bands.
