Just added one.

As for me it's The Cure all the way. I like a few Smiths songs but I've never been able to get into them as a band. The Cure on the other hand I can listen to all day and did quite a bit when I was 15.

Instrumentally I prefer the atmosphere of the Cure. I do find Morrisey's voice to be better then Smith's. I enjoy both catalogs but I think the Cures catalog has aged better. So Cure, anything to spite Paloma.

There is no Paloma, there is only Zuul

IThis kind of reminds me of the whole "Who's better Beatles or Stones?..argument" , Who do you guys prefer /like most/listen to the most The Smiths or The Cure?

Stop me if you heard this one before: The Smiths.
A bunch of different reasons, mainly Johnny Marr guitar playing >>>>>> Robert Smith's hair.

Stop me if you heard this one before: What do you get if you combine Johnny Marr and Morrissey? Something that's still not as good as Robert Smith all by his lonesome.

I know I say this everytime they're brought up, but the Cure has like 5 good songs. The Smiths have maybe 3 garbage songs.

Hahaha. No. The Cure have, like, more than 5 good albums

They have really MEH albums and a couple stand out songs, honestly. Although those songs are great, they're never be as good as the Smiths to me

but whoever said "the Smiths are too depressing" should be banned imo

I'm having a hard time imagining any of The Cure's first eight albums as being "meh", except The Top.

My biggest criticism of The Cure is just that they continued releasing music after 1989.
