Songs When Blazed
|
I remember listening to this in the car one day on the way to a dim sum breakfast. It was just after smoking a pre-breakfast joint (sober person was driving) and this song just fit perfectly with the overcast early morning weather and my mood. |
That's tough. Everything sounds good when you're loaded...
When I was young though, I think my favorite stoner/zoner records were Pink Floyd's Meddle and Rush's Once and Future King...Now it would probably be Nurse with Wound or Coltrane... |
Gets the job done. |

my all time personal blunted favourite -
It was the early morning wake and bake and coffee tune on snowboarding day trips a few years back. Still makes me feel nice and mellow with or without a puff. |
A long time favorite of mine, and the fact that it has a great video doesn't hurt:

I love this one, if I was playing this styoned though, I would loop it, almost feels like it is too short because of how good it sounds. |
Dude. Like, whoa, man. You know?

I don't really partake these days but when I did, this track really messed with my head at 2 AM on a stoned Friday night:

I'm blazed and this song so catchy |
Pretty much everything good is just way more enjoyable when you're high.
|
am i the only person who primarily listened to Throbbing Gristle, Coil and SPK when stoned?
i mean this may explain why i cannot mentally handle the effects anymore....but that music takes you places |

For being stoned, I recommend:
The Polyphonic Spree - Two Thousand Places Mando Diao - Mr. Moon Black Box Recorder - Girl Singing In the Wreckage Jethro Tull - Aqualung And some albums I've also really enjoyed while stoned: Gonjasufi - A Sufi and a Killer Anticon Records - Music for the Advancement of Hip-Hop Eric Dolphy - Out To Lunch Radiohead - Kid A cLOUDDEAD - Ten Bedhead - What Fun Life Was Mazzy Star - So Tonight That I Might See Kenny Loggins & Jim Messina - Sittin' In Phish - Rift Phish - A Picture of Nectar The Grateful Dead - Aoxomoxoa Trey Anastasio - Bar 17 And then a few recommendations (from personal experience) for LSD and/or mushrooms: Anything by Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Shostakovich, or Liszt. Seriously. Radiohead - "Idioteque" Blonde Redhead - "Falling Man" Allison Krauss - "Down To the River to Pray" Dolly Parton - "Jolene" Esben & the Witch - "Marching Song" Phish - "Rift" All of these have elicited VERY positive feelings and complete happiness while on said substances. |
