Correction: it actually isn't David Hockney! No idea why I was so convinced but it looks like it. I think the Nio and Pidgeon album artwork is from Japan, because the album is Japanese, but I'm not sure

Well, the style is similar enough to have convinced me the minute you said it Marie! But I suppose Hockey usually goes for more privileged people and subjects, I think. The Squid cover shows what I'm sure is a semi-detatched council house. That's why it looks so familiar: they are dotted in their thousands all over suburban England.
