Great Songs By People Who Have No Right Being Within A Million Miles Of a Great Song
This isn't about crap bands making good songs so if you want to do that go to the other thread which I can't be bothered to look up right now.
This thread is about great songs recorded by people you would never expect to record any sort of music, let alone something totally amazing. The inspiration of this thread comes from me hearing (and rather enjoying) professional bird botherer Bill Oddie's 'On Ilkla Moor Baht'at' which is a parody of Joe Cocker's A Little Help From My Friends, which was amazingly put out by John Peel on his own Dandelion Records label. It also features the same backing singers that sang on Joe Cocker's version of the song. Enjoy.... |
Well, you wouldn't expect Don "Miami Vice" Johnson to write or sing a song, would you, but he co-wrote this....

Lol, that's the first song I thought of when I carefully read the point of this thread.
"She's Like the Wind," written and sung by Patrick Swayze, also impresses me. Very good, if not great. |
God-damn it! I thought Urban had come back!!
