When declaring something (such as Elton moves to Capital Records), it's always nice to have a supporting link for verification.

Elton John Goes off the Deep End on New Album | Stop The Presses! (NEW) - Yahoo! Music

That was all I could find, but didn't really search that much.

As for him digging down deep... well:

Quote:
Elton has no illusions that in 2013 he'll be the chart-topper he was in the '70s. "I'm not gonna be kicking Nicki Minaj off the charts, but I'm just making records that are valuable to me," he said. "I feel good about them and I can sleep at night."

Feed a man a fish he will be full today. Show the man how to fish he will never go hungry. It was my intention to state something that I had seen and to those who chose to find out more there is the internet to research the subject and perhaps come back to the fold with additional information.....

I totally understand that. On a coding forum I frequent, when people ask how to do something, most of the more skilled and wiser members will point them in the right direction instead of just throwing out the code for them to copy/paste. I was merely making a suggestion. Most people are on autopilot, and if you want feedback you'd do better here to just give them the fish.

I totally agree with serving them up a big fish because the interaction on this site most of the time is minimal at best...........

Absolute

If you check any of the current threads people are interacting all the time. Just not too many people are that interested in Elton, maybe better in the pop section? But the interaction here is second to none, you just need to be interested in the subject. Have you visited the Lounge?

It will be interesting to see what comes out, never been a big fan though i liked his earlier work. However on Kate Bush last outing he put in a great vocal performance which i found to be one of the best i had heard from him.

Some artists mature well ,like Robert Plants work of late.

I believe "General Music " is a better choice due to Elton recording for Capitol is more of a news item and his music if anything points towards "Easy Listening Adult " at this point in his career. Yes I have gone over to the lounge there are some interesting topics here and there.
