One of those Zappa songs that are simultaneously funny and catchy. Not one or the other as a lot of his work is.

Back when a radio was the principal source of in-home entertainment, there used to be a show every Sunday lunchtime which had a regular slot for a song by "Rambling Syd Rumpo". I´m posting a couple because they were always so short :-

"My Heart Will Go On" - Recorder By Candlelight by Matt Mulholland
This had me laughing almost as much as the Beach Boys shred, especially when Matt reaches his most passionate climax around 3:20 into the song:

Gotta be my favourite song about murdering everyone in your town and then killing a serial killer hooker. If not my favourite, it's definitely in my top five.

Maybe you need to be British to enjoy this song; a collection of apparently random comments which can really stick in your head for some reason:-

I understood about ten words of that song. :/ However, it *did* stick in my mind that he sang about being in his undies and loving Barry Manilow!

Matt Mulholland - "Friday" (Cover of Rebecca Black's infamous song)

Matt's cover of Rebecca Black's song "Friday" is both an amusing song AND a terrific cover, turning her mind-numbingly shallow, peppy pop song into a somber, depressing song (about alcoholism?)...without even changing a line!

I especially like when he is standing morosely in the corner, the perfect image of someone feeling down.

And here, for comparison, is Rebecca Black's creepily chipper "Friday" song:
