This was a homemade, mockup advertisement by (I believe) an
instructor in new media, for a class demonstration. I had never heard of The Darling Buds, but I remember the song "Tiny Machine" from this ad when I saw it a few years back: |
^^great pick!
Who in the world is making commercials like this at home????? |

Phoenix- 1901 - YouTube * * * Speaking of car commercials introducing someone to music... Many years ago I remember being enthralled by a commercial that showed some fancy luxury car weaving in and out among giant, swinging spheres dangling from cables. I couldn't have cared less about the car (maybe I would have paid more attention if it had been a Mustang). But the background MUSIC...ahh! I loved that music. It made a great impression on me... Prokofiev - "Dance of the Knights" (Imagine giant, ominously swinging spheres as you listen) Prokofiev - Dance of the Knights - YouTube * * * Then of course there is Trio's "Da Da Da" from the VW commericials. Those wacky Germans! I've always liked this song: VW Golf Da Da Da commercial - YouTube |
i'm a sucker for Apple commericals

"Da Da Da" is the first pop song that came to my mind. But I don't like it. I think "Urgent" by Foreigner was used in some commercial, an indignity for such a great song. The band's solid "Double Vision" was used in a Burger King commercial.
I'm not sure I have heard that full Ting Tings song before; it sounds good to me. I had heard snippets from the commercial. |
I thought Chrysler's use of the beat off of Jay Z's "Ain't No Love" sounded pretty good.
