Before I start, I paraphrase George Carlin: "I don't have pet peeves; I have major psychotic f*****g hatreds".

I hate it when I listen to someone talk about a certain album/artist I love, and for a moment I am surprised and impressed, only to find out they like it for the wrong reasons. Don't tell me you like Frank Zappa because he's great to listen to when you're "high".

This is more of a peeve than a hatred, but I don't understand people who restrict themselves to the most popular forms of music (One Direction, Taylor Swift). It's not that I dislike these artists (in fact I quite like Taylor Swift), it's just that the restriction... the limiting of musical range is annoying because its just so... boring. How can someone live with a homogeneous music taste?

Anybody who hates electronic, hip hop or country music (the key three music biases) without actually listening to much or any. I used to be like this. I didn't realize how much of a d**k I was.

Have also found myself agreeing with the majority of the comments made here. Surprised how many peeves I have.

The top reason why I like Frank Zappa's music:
  • Captain Beefheart constantly drew pictrures of him, and it got on his nerves too.
  • He was the father of Moon Unit, I mean Diva Thin Muffin Pigeen Zappa is cute but not as cute as Moon Unit.
  • He had a mustache that was more memorable, had more swag, and was more infamous than Groucho Marx Tom Selek and Hitler's combined.
  • He knew about particle physics and ****.
I'm pretty sure they are all the right reason to like his music.

I pretty much agree with you Janszoon. I love taking my time listening to my new albums before moving on. If I get bored though, I will move on. How many listens do you usually give your new albums Janz?

I know what you mean. I'm really annoyed by songs with great verses and a weak chorus. It leaves you wondering "is this song good or bad?" I really don't know.
