Has abyone been involved with future music academy Sheffield?
 

Hi, I was recently in Open Mic and approached by a music scout from Future Music and asked to attend an audition for a music academy in Sheffield. This is to be held once a month and I would only be asked to cover "some costs" however no figure was given. I'm just wondering if anyone has attended such an academy and I believe there is also one in the south of England. I have read a lot about Open Mic & Live & Unsigned being scams and just wondered if this the same?

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

I'd steer clear of any "offer" that asked you to "cover some costs": it just smells if they can't tell you how much they expect you to pay.
