If you only had one last song to hear...
And share the reason why you chose it!
EDIT: I just meant if you could never have the chance to listen to another song, just one. Some might translate that as a song listened to while dying...it could even mean you only get to hear one song again for the rest of your life. I don't think any answers are wrong... They're just telling of people's mindset... Which is why i asked so vaguely... |
First, your video isn't showing. Maybe recheck the spelling of the link? A broken dash (--) can often get copied over as a full hyphen (__) and that knocks the thing out.
Second, are you asking what is the song you would LEAST like to hear, or the song you would like to hear as your last song ever, ie as you lie dying? I did something similar on the latter ("The last sound you will ever hear") but few if any picked up on it. Just wondering what you're shooting for here. |
I'm pretty sure she meant a song you wouldn't mind going out to. In which case...
|
^That would bad be pretty badass sweet.
This is hard, I always find a song and I'm like, this is what I want playing when I die, but I want to go out peacefully, but playing overwhelmingly loud. ...or if in a violent manner Meshuggah's Bleed. |

Secondly not only was my title vague you didn't even get to watch a video to try and decipher it haha!! Ok so video link and title are corrected... I chose it because it is to me, the guitar solo sounds like the most perfect accessory for the words she's saying... talks to me soul yenno? |
("...so basically you're asking what music would you like played at your own funeral then..." asked the goblin wondering if this wouldn't turn into a very morbid thread indeed, but then adding "...me, it would be Giacomo Puccini's o mio babbino caro, which was played while I watched my step-dad's coffin slip behind the curtains last year, whereas sentiment-wize for myself it would be more like Freelance Whales- Generator 2nd Floor-1 not that I'd play that piece at a funeral, I mean I suppose one is meant to grieve at the time...")

(returning, the goblin thanked Closer for her reply then before adding "...yes, I didn't know how to interpret your question to begin with so I offered those two then, because either I'm thinking about the others I leave behind, hence my first choice, or I'm relating my own attitude towards death, hence my second choice...", in fact, the goblin was no stranger to death, only that to date it had been kind in it's choice of whom to take yonder, the old and those in great pain then, adding "...well I suppose the raven of death sings over all of us I guess, where I can't say that I like its cry, but at least it reminds one not to compromise for the sake of some common acceptance...", and with that the goblin added another track in passing hoping it was what Closer was looking for It's Hard To Say Goodbye - Michael Ortega)
|
....o...kay. Personally, I'd like to think I could answer honestly with a track with which I had a deep and meaningful connection. However, I think teetering on the brink of death I'd be far too concerned with other things i.e. I'm going to die.
(Going off topic, slightly, I'm currently going through a 'terrified of death' phase. Just saying.) |
Just to add my own (assuming we're now settled that Closer (hah! How appropriate, if the name is pronounced "klo-zer" rather than clo-sir"!) means a song you'd like to hear before you finally shuffle off TMC, then mine is and always will be Queen. For a much more detailed explanation, seek out my thread under the title "The last sound you will ever hear"...

Something light. Something reflective to make a great Powerpoint to. People will be tearing up major.

("...oh, I love that choice Fred..." went the goblin thinking that this too might work well at a funeral)

If this is the same kind of thread, I will merge them. I'm still not sure what the OP's aim is here. |
I thought it was what song you would like to be listening to while dying, I wouldn't want to pick the song at my funeral, although i'd ask to buried with my headphones on and my iPod on shuffle.
|
Umm... I'll be obvoius and say
|
Probably this. It's the only song on the OST that has been stuck in my head for the longest time.
