Hello friend.

Also, Wpnfire: I disagree with your favorite Springsteen albums. However, Springsteen fans seem to be something of a minority here, so that's cool anyway. :p:

What do you mean by 'you disagree'?? Can you elaborate on that?
I hope you're not suggesting that Born to Run isn't a good Springsteen album.

Also, yeah Springsteen fans are hard to come by here, though there are a few people who do like him.

No, Born to Run is a great album - I just think that Darkness and Nebraska are better, probably because I like his darker stuff a little more. Nebraska is my favorite, but I think Darkness is more "essential" because it has more range.

Honestly it's hard to go wrong with the first six albums.

I'm not a fan of Darkness. Too dreary and slow. Born to Run is tied with Nebraska for his best album IMO.

That's fair - Darkness seems to be a little polarizing among fans, but I think "Racing in the Street" has gotta be in his all-time top 5 songs. Much as I love BTR, I can think of songs I'd cut from it; Darkness has none for me.

Racing in the Street is great, but the '78 version from the Promise is way, way, way better than the Darkness version.

Also, Born to Run only has 8 songs. Seems rather silly to cut a song(s) from such a short album.

Subject to change pretty quickly with how much music I've been pouring over, though.

I agree with that, but it's still a great song in both versions.

True enough - I just think he probably had songs that were better than "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out", for example, great as it is live.

I thoroughly enjoy Tenth Avenue, so I'm not with you about that.
