Default Old Timey Music

So, I've been listening to a little bit of Scott Joplin lately as well as revisiting some bluegrass and I figured I'd start a thread for people to share some recommendations. Yes, I know that "old time music" is actually the name for a particular style of music, which is basically proto-bluegrass, and people are more than welcome to post about that style here, but this thread is intended to be broader than that. Basically, if it's late 19th/early 20th century music, I'd love to hear it. Ragtime, old-time, proto-jazz, zydeco, Tin Pan Alley, whatever. Bring it on.

I'll start with a little Scott Joplin:

I'd be keen to hear some more 1920's brothel music hehe.

I've actually been listening to a lot of Blind Blake recently, whose music is a mix of early blues and ragtime... I would love to find more like it. Any suggestions?

I've actually been obsessed by different styles of "old timey" music for a year or so now. I mainly listen to country blues from the 20's and 30's as well as ragtime guitarists like Blind Blake and Blind Boy Fuller. I also love old time banjo stuff like Roscoe Holcomb.

Here's one of my favorites Blind Boy Fuller

I love the fact that there is quite alot of people who still play "old timey" music. People like Blind Boy Paxton, Frank Fairfield and Pokey LaFarge'

The 1920s and 1930s contain some of my favorite American music but for brevity's sake, I'll dole them out slowly.
