Would you rather we didn't delete this stuff?

Would you like an extra 200 threads per week (Which isn't an exaggeration BTW) of nothing but 'hey check out my/this band made by people who have no intention of ever posting again?

That's why we're hardline on this and I think a large majority of the people posting here want us to take that hardline stance. If it means upsetting someone once every few months so be it.

And nobody was bullied, they were told where they went wrong, if they have a problem with the rules and want to answer back that isn't my fault. All we did is explain what's expected here. and you don't seem to have any real problem with that because you keep coming back here. Maybe you like the fact that this forum is spam free, I don't know.

The thread in question resembled 99% of all spam threads that get deleted by mods.
The rest of that members posts were deleted due to the belonging to a presumed spammer.

Why is this is this so hard to understand? I'm not even a mod and I understand this.

I didn't see the thread before. I want to know what he did wrong, not see a bunch of posts asserting he's an idiot for coming across like a spammer. The rules don't make things clear. This sounds like reason to rewrite the rules, and it raises the possibility that people periodically are wrongly banned as spammers that we never hear about. 1) I'm totally for spam prevention, if it's fair and effective. 2) If you ignore my request for the specifics in this case, your credibility will continue to be damaged as occurred even before my post.

It's already been addressed about fifty million times. If you can't be bothered to actually read things that you want to know about then go away.

I read every post in this thread. It did not tell me how many messages were deleted nor quote from any deleted messages. A newbie posting a link to a musician site/page within a message, which I know happened, is not automatically against the rules.
